Hotel Wielemans is a charming, picturesque venue that delights guests with its Hispano-Moresque design. This particular hotel from the Art Deco period (1925) is a prestigious setting in which to host events such as cocktail buffets, meetings and dinners.
The house was imagined by architect Adrien Blomme, on the request of M. Léon Wielemans, the famous Brussels brewer, as a present for his wife. Since Mrs. Wielemans was fascinated by Spain, the couple took their architect to Granada. In the settings of the Alhambra, the architect did his first drawings of the building.
The living room at the heart of the house, was therefore designed as a covered patio, onto which opened a big staircase and the main rooms. The garden and terrace were also designed in the Andalusian style in which water is a predominant feature.
IN 1994, the Royal Commission for monuments and sites listed the house and its garden, as it reflects the expression of a certain modernism during the Roaring Twenties in Brussels.
This charming setting will give an extra special touch to your event. |
